Older Pet?

Tellington TTouch a lovely way to reward your pet for the wonderful years you have spent with each other. You can use it to help keep them supple & flexible in both thier body and mind and even promote pain relief for pets with mobility issues. A little ttouch a day goes a very long way!

With the Tellington Method you really can teach an old dog new tricks! No matter how stuck in his ways your pet has become the Tellington method will help him learn how to learn effectively no matter what his age. It is fantastic for reducing habits and encouraging your pet to feel safe, calm and open to his potential.

Pets Coat?

Your pets coat is a great indicator of how healthy they are on the inside. If the skin and muscles are unbalanced or tense the patterns of tension often begin to show in the coat. Perhaps simply in the direction of hair growth or texture but sometimes by hair loss too. The Tellington method addresses tension and balance issues and also reduces the physical effect of anxiety and stress which will also play a huge role in your pets coat quality, hair loss or skin problems.

Like us your pets skin is a major avenue of toxin elimination for his body to use and often this can be a contributory factor in skin and coat issues. (it is advisable to see a holistic vet if this concerns you & your pet)

Dog who has lost a limb? ( or is docked!)?

The Tellington Method can help your pet with both the implications of literally losing a limb. The muscle, ligament, nerve damage ect , and with the way he copes without the limb for the rest of his days. Often the way he copes - or doesn't cope, is of more value to his health and happiness than damage from the loss itself. As you can see from the picture the lovely Poppy pyrenean lost her back leg due to bone cancer at the age of 71/2yrs. I was so glad i knew the Tellington method! By opening up neuro pathways and releasing tension build up in the remaining parts of her body the method helped her with weight distribution, easy movement, daily aches & pains and flexible mental adapation to her new way of being. Whilst docking is more common than limb loss it nevertheless can and often does also have an impact on the pets ability co-ordinate and be fully aware of its physical capabilites. This can then lead to body tension and all the reactional behaviours that arise from it.

Pregnant Bitch and her potential Puppies?

Carrying babies and giving brith to them is a really big thing for all creatures and often puts a huge strain on your bitches body, her muscles, joints, spine and digestive sytem for instance. Her immune and healing systems will begin to heal and mend these areas and can be vastly sped up by the use of the Tellington method. I have seen bitches become very tight in the body after pregancy and without the work those dogs have gone on to become more reactive and vocal than bitches i was able to help with the method.

Puppies are gorgeously cute but do grow up fast! Some of a litter of puppies at Battersea dogs home, who were lucky enough to have the work done with them, showed dramatically improved learning & training capabilities, more confidence and self control and even stronger bone density than there un tellington ttouched littermates. It is a lucky owner indeed who discovers the Tellington method when there pet is young they can look forward to a healthy happy pet for many years to come!

Show Dog?

For many years i was involved in the show scene with Pyrenean mountain dogs. I know 1st hand just how much a show dog has to take in as part of his show career and yet still remain a calm happy household pet too!

Not only will The Tellington Method effectively improve your show dogs posture gait and conformation in the ring but it will help him gain the confidence and self control to respond calmly to the travelling , socialisation, bench waiting, judge/ stranger handling and of course your own anxious or excited emotions experienced in the busy show day!

Show dogs are sometimes kept in kennels for longer periods than a pet dog would be. The Tellington method will be invaluable at helping to reduce any stress or frustration kenneling may have on the dogs.

Agility Dog?

Learning agility with your dog is a great way to bond and engage with them, most dogs and owners really enjoy it. Training days and competitions though can be a noisy stressful environment to be in for both the dog and the owner/handler.

Agility competitors have found that by using the Tellington method their dog has greater consistency and performance than dogs simply taught to rush through the tasks, even if obediently. Dogs that do things at speed are rarely fully aware of their physical bodys capabilities. All dogs worked with are encouraged to really slow down and consider how they are moving their bodies and paws. Once they are able to complete the task slowly they then become better able to do so with speed. Some owners say the method seems to be improving their 'paw to eye co-ordination'!
